Can you picture a movie being made out of the book Ghostgirl by Tonya Hurley & how about part two of the book?

I LOVED this book & could totally picture either a cartoon or a regular movie made out of it. Can you? Who would you have star in it? Do you think there will be a part two to it, as the book did end with a question mark, to be continued, sort of, didn’t it? Please let me know what you thought of this book & my above questions. Thx!

I loved it too. I think it totally could but i don’t know who i would pick. And i pray there will be a part 2. cross your fingers

Excerpt: A Philosophical Enquiry into the Origin of Our Ideas of the Sublime and Beautiful is a 1757 treatise on aesthetics , written by Edmund Burke . It attracted the attention of prominent Continental thinkers such as Denis Diderot and Immanuel Kant .In short, the Beautiful , according to Burke, is what is well-formed and aesthetically pleasing, whereas the Sublime is what has the power to compel and destroy us. The preference for the Sublime over the Beautiful was to mark the transition from the Neoclassical to the Romantic era.The origins of our ideas of the beautiful and the sublime, for Burke, can be understood by means of their causal structures . According to Aristotelian physics and metaphysics, causation can be divided into formal, material, efficient, and final causes. The formal cause of beauty is the passion of love; the material cause concerns aspects of certain objects such as smallness, smoothness, delicacy, etc.; the efficient cause is the calming of our nerves; the final cause is God’s providence. What is most peculiar and original to Burke’s view of beauty is that it cannot be understood by the traditional bases of beauty: proportion, fitness, or perfection. The sublime also has a causal structure that is unlike that of beauty. Its formal cause is thus the passion of fear (especially the fear of death); the material cause is equally aspects of certain objects such as vastness, infinity, magnificence, etc.; its efficient cause is the tension of our nerves; the final cause is God having created and battled Satan, as expressed in and Milton’s great epic ‘Paradise Lost ‘. Burke’s was the first complete philosophical exposition for separating the beautiful and the sublime into their own respective rational categories.Kant’s comment Kant praised Burke for not claiming

63 Defense For Youth Football

63 Defense For Youth Football

$29.95

This book is the resource manual on coaching and running the 63 defense. It is is based on fundamental football stressing tackling, pursuit, and turnover creation. It uses a team concept that gets all eleven players involved in playing team defense. It uses pressure concepts that place a great deal of stress on the backfield and forces them into a game of reacting to your defense while playing inverted cover 2 behind the pressure front to better support run while playing sound pass coverage support. The main goal of this defense is not not allow the big play to happen since the vast majority of youth teams live and die by the sweep and the vertical pass the defense is geared to stop these two plays while still being sound on the interior. The book is simply written with very little “coach talk” yet gives you a thorough understanding of the techniques, schemes, and principles that make this defense sound and fun.”Coach Gregory’s defense is one of the most aggressive yet structurely sound defenses I have used. I love it! I love how easy it was to install! I love how easy it was to coach! I can’t wait to get my second season under my belt with this defense!”Chad Herring Head Midget Coach – Kentucky11-0 and first Championship appearance”Jack’s 63 is so simple to coach and the kids love it. I was very skeptical when I first heard how the scheme ran but after talking to him online and over the phone about how he runs this defense I installed it and had nothing but success. I recommend this defense to any youth coach interested in having a successful defense!”Mark Aherns Head Junior Bantaam Coach – Arkansas9-1 and League JB Champion”This defense served uswell.I love the spill and kill I love the spill and kill lots of pressure on the backfield.”‘Bonescoach South Texas dumcoach.com member”I ran it for the first time last year and probably botched a few things up a bit. Even with my boogerin, this defense is very sound and a lot of

Cable — William Dean Howells When Scribner’s Monthly began, in 1870, American literature, except for that furnished by the group of men writing in or near Boston, was at a low ebb, and even in Boston very little fiction was being produced. Professor Pattee in his “History of American Literature since 1870″ says: “No wonder that the book reviewer of Harper’s Magazine for May, 1870, with nothing better before him than ‘Miss Van Kortland,’ Anonymous; ‘Hedged In,’ by Miss Phelps; and ‘Askaros Kassis,’ by De Leon, should have begun his review,’ We are so weary of depending on England, France, and Germany for fiction and so hungry for some genuine American romance, that we are not inclined to read very critically the three characteristic American novels which lie on our table.’” Poe, Irving, Cooper, and Hawthorne had passed; Mark Twain had just begun; the nearest that How- ells had come to fiction was in the book, “No Love Lost; a Romance of Travel,” really a longpoem in hexameters, published in 1868. Bret Harte’s first book of fiction, “The Luck of Roaring Camp, and Other Sketches,” came in 1870. It is easy to see why Professor Pattee began his study of modern American literature with that year, for it marked a dividing line between the old and the new, and Scribner’s Monthly, born in 1870, did a goodly share toward helping on the renaissance. The plain people in America were only just beginning to find out that they could write. Great fiction writers had been living and writing in England, Dickens, Thackeray, Wilkie Collins, George Eliot, Charles

A Man's Feelings: Finding Closure after Divorce

A Man’s Feelings: Finding Closure after Divorce

$7.99

A unique book, which addresses a calamity many men face, was written by the Northwest Author, Michael Louis Eads: A Man’s Feelings, Finding Closure After Divorce. Divorce, a word synonymous with failure, disappointment and heartache; any man who loved his wife and went through divorce feels the stigma and loss. The courts use these words: dissolution, irretrievable and broken. These heartless terms create turmoil to a man going through divorce. They don’t even account for or describe the agony a man endures during this crisis. This is a personal account of how Michael went through these hard times, and how he came out the other end with a positive attitude, and a vigorous new life. Going through this crisis, he found his own identity and self-esteem in question. His whole life was a question mark from the day his wife first said the word, Divorce, but with a step-by-step process, and help from friends and counseling, he got through it. “I believe with the raw personal expertise of an everyday man, Michael’s story is unique and uplifting. His advice is straightforward and insightful, offering hope and encouragement on the long road to find a new life for any man struggling for happiness after losing the love of his life,” said his friend Bob Olson, who has known Michael since his teens. In Michael’s research of divorce books, he had found that almost all deal with the legal ramifications of divorce. Few deal with the stigma, heartache and emotional turmoil that a man must face during separation and divorce. “I feel my book exposes the most basic need in all men after divorce, that is, the overwhelming desire to find some semblance of happiness, well-being, and ultimately, closure. It is my hope that after reading this book, you will realize its value and potential.” –The Publisher In his book, A Man s Feelings: Finding Closure After Divorce, Michael Eads takes us on a personal journey following his own divorce. Many are included in this book with the stories behind them.”Even though I have accomplished so much, I feel like my life is still taking off. At the time of the sacking of Rome, this Gothic prince fell in love with Placidia, the sister of the Emperor Honorius; and after the fashion of his people, carried her away as his captive; not an unwilling one, we suspect, for we learn of her great devotion to her brave, strong wooer, with blond hair and blue eyes. Ataulf took his fair prize to the city of Narbonne in southern France, and made her his Queen. But when Constantius, a disappointed Roman lover of Placidia’s, instigated Honorius to send an army against him and his Goths, he withdrew into Spain, and established his court with its rude splendor in the ancient city of Barcelona.-from Chapter VWith a verve and liveliness worthy of a novelist, American writer MARY PLATT PARMELE (1843-1911) put her unique stamp on world history with her series of clever, concise histories, condensed tales of the world’s great nations that encompassed the essential facts necessary for appreciating the state of the world as she saw it.With this book, first published in 1898 and updated in 1908, she introduces American readers to the dramatic past of the peoples and nation of Spain. From the “adventurous Phenicians” who put their mark on Iberia as early as 1300 B.C. to the contentious relationship between Spain and the U.S. during much of the 19th century, this is the exhilarating tale of a country newly joined in great friendship with America as the 20th century dawned.OF INTEREST TO: readers of European and classical historyParmele’s books available from Cosimo Classics include:* The Evolution of an Empire: A Brief Historical Sketch of France* The Evolution of an Empire: A Brief Historical Sketch of the United States* A Short History of France* A Short History of Germany* A Short History of Rome and Italy* A Short History of England, Ireland and Scotland

Adventures of Huckleberry Finn (Barnes & Noble Classics Series)

$4.75

“Huckleberry Finn, rebel against school and church, casual inheritor of gold treasure, rafter of the Mississippi, and savior of Jim the runaway slave, is the archetypal American maverick. Fleeing the respectable society that wants to “sivilize” him, Huck Finn shoves off with Jim on a rhapsodic raft journey down the Mississippi River. As Huck learns about love, responsibility, and how to make moral choices, the trip becomes a metaphoric voyage through his own soul, culminating in the glorious moment when he decides to “go to hell” rather than return Jim to slavery. Mark Twain defined “classic” as “a book which people praise and don’t read”; Huckleberry Finn is a happy exception to this rule. Twain’s mastery of dialect, coupled with his famous wit, makes “The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn one of the most enjoyable and distinctly American classics ever written.

All About Jesus: The Single Story from Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John

$14.99

This book is all about Jesus. The words recorded in it were written about Jesus over 2000 years ago. Yet today his message of peace, hope, love, and forgiveness still resonates with people of all races, nationalities, educational, and economic backgrounds. Some like what he said while others disagree with what he said. But almost everyone finds him intriguing. The story of Jesus comes to us from four different authors, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, written over a period of nearly seventy years. The message and uniqueness of Jesus remain the same, but each author tells the story from his perspective and for his purpose. Some writers wrote more; others wrote less. But what if we could read it as one single story from beginning to end? This book does just that by combining the four reports of Jesus’ life into a single chronological story.Through this book you will take a new look at Jesus, his life, his miracles, and his teachings and be able to come to your own conclusion about him.Produced in cooperation with the International Bible Society.

Chapters: The Golden Age, Everclear, Mercury, Love Songs for Patriots, Engine, San Francisco, United Kingdom, California, the Restless Stranger. Excerpt: The Golden Age is the 9th studio album released by San Francisco-based sadcore and slowcore band American Music Club. The album is the band’s second after a 10 year hiatus that ended in 2004. The album is an effort by the band to experiment more in their music. The album was produced by Dave Trumfio, who has also worked for bands such as Wilco and My Morning Jacket. The album was released to generally positive critical reviews, earning 4 out of 5 stars from MusicOMH and an 80 (out of 100) score on Metacritic. The BBC, however, said that: “The Golden Age will never get your heart racing, it simply lacks the energy to do so. You could easily listen to this album without really hearing it, noticing its absence at the end rather than its presence throughout.” The BBC review, however, is uncharacteristic of the general reception of the article. The album was recorded over two months at Kingsize Studios in Los Angeles with Dave Trumfio, who also recorded Wilco’s Summerteeth album. Frontman Mark Eitzel began writing the songs that appear on the Golden Age in 2005, though recording didn’t begin until 2007. The album’s high critical acclaim was not reflected in its sales figures. The album is currently 51,664th in music purchases and downloads on Amazon.com, indicating that the band remains relatively unpopular among mainstream fans, regardless of its praise from critics. The music on The Golden Age is much more experimental than previous American Music Club releases, tending to be more “melodic and atmosphereic”. Much of the music is happier and more melodic than other AMC albums, indicating that the band … More:

Overshadowed by stars like Bob Dylan, hundreds of talented singer-songwriters flourished in the 1960s. Drawing on folk, blues, and country roots, and a love of rock and roll, these artists created such timeless songs as “Everybody’s Talkin’” and “Hey Joe.” This book explores the musical and cultural phenomena that shaped the singer-songwriter movement of the 1960s, including Dylan’s reinvention of folk, the rock and roll revolution, and Beat writers like Jack Kerouac. It traces the genre from its formative and peak years in New York’s Greenwich Village coffeehouses, through today’s CD reissues, new recordings, and legacies celebrated by Elvis Costello, Nick Cave, and other artists. Against this historical backdrop, the book details how the lives and songs of David Ackles, David Blue, Tim Buckley, Tim Hardin, Fred Neil, Phil Ochs, Tom Rapp, Tim Rose, and Tom Rush helped rock music come of age.

A rare mix of wit, social satire, and suspense, along with characters who leap from the page to speak directly to the reader — a moving story about a love that just won’t give up, As Husbands Go is the latest from critically acclaimed, bestselling author, Susan Isaacs.
Call her superficial, but Susie B. Anthony Rabinowitz Gersten assumed her marriage was great — and why not? Jonah Gersten, M.D., a Park Avenue plastic surgeon, clearly adored her. He was handsome, successful, and a doting dad to their four-year-old triplets Dashiell, Evan, and Mason. But when Jonah is found in the Upper East Side apartment of second-rate “escort” Dorinda Dillon, Susie is overwhelmed with questions left unanswered. It’s bad enough to know your husband’s been murdered, but even worse when you’re universally pitied (and quietly mocked) because of the sleaze factor. None of it makes sense to Susie — not a sexual liaison with someone like Dorinda, not the “better not to discuss it” response from Jonah’s partners. With help from her toughtalking, high-style Grandma Ethel who flies in from Miami, she takes on her snooty in-laws, her husband’s partners, the NYPD, and the DA (is the person arrested for the homicide the actual perp, or just an easy mark for a prosecutor who hates the word “unsolved”?), as she tries to prove that her wonderful life with Jonah was no lie. Susan Isaacs brilliantly turns the conventions of the mystery on end as Susie Gersten, suburban mom, floral designer, and fashion plate, searches not so much for answers to her husband’s death as for answers to her own life.

Before the Closet: Same-Sex Love from Beowulf to Angels in America

Before the Closet: Same-Sex Love from Beowulf to Angels in America

$25

Since the publication of John Boswell’s Christianity, Social Tolerance, and Homosexuality, historians have accepted the view that the early Middle Ages tolerated and even fostered same-sex relations and that intolerance of homosexuality developed only late in the medieval period. In this extraordinary study, Allen J. Frantzen challenges this long-held belief, showing that early medieval Christians did not tolerate same-sex acts, and, furthermore, that men and women during this time who preferred homosexual relations pursued their desires in spite of official sanctions. The early medieval period was, Frantzen argues, an age before people recognized the existence–or the possibility–of the “closet.” With its ambitious scope and elegant style, Before the Closet focuses on Anglo-Saxon literature but also includes thoughtful examinations of contemporary opera, dance, and theatre. Instead of the closet, Frantzen employs the figure of the shadow to illustrate the coexistence of homosexual and heterosexual relations in the Middle Ages. He introduces this figure through an analysis of a man’s part sung by a woman in operas such as Gounod’s Faust and Strauss’s Der Rosenkavalier. He traces the reverse figure-men taking women’s parts-in two dances by Mark Morris, The Hard Nut and Dido and Aeneas, and analyzes the White Anglo-Saxon Protestant in Tony Kushner’s play Angels in America. Frantzen’s wide-ranging study also includes such well-known poems as Beowulf and The Wanderer. Erudite and provocative, this book offers a comprehensive analysis of sources from the seventh to the twelfth century and traces Anglo-Saxon same-sex behavior through the age of Chaucer and into the Renaissance.
